True healing (with homeopathy)
Let’s Talk About Healing
Conventional medicine often works on the Law of Opposites — for example, using medication to lower cholesterol in someone with high cholesterol.
Homeopathy, on the other hand, is based on the Law of Similars — using a highly diluted preparation of a substance that could produce similar symptoms in a healthy person to help stimulate healing.
👉Think of using Coffea, a remedy made from coffee, to help with overactive thoughts, restlessness and sleeplessness.
Homeopathy isn’t like conventional medicine. It doesn’t aim to suppress symptoms. It doesn’t ‘fix’ specific body systems or ‘stop’ something from happening. (Of course, conventional medicine can be life-saving and absolutely essential in many acute situations.) But homeopathy works on a different and deeper level — it looks at you as a whole person: your physical symptoms, emotional state, family history, and your unique way of expressing dis-ease.
With that in mind, true homeopathic healing isn’t always linear — and it’s often not comfortable.
What Real Healing Looks Like
When you start a new homeopathic medicine, symptoms can flare up, shift, or even return from the past. This is not a setback — it’s actually a positive sign that your body’s innate healing intelligence (your vital force) is being stirred to action and starting to clear what’s been stored, stuck, or suppressed.
This is where Hering’s Law of Cure comes in — a guiding principle in homeopathy that explains how healing tends to unfold:
From above downwards
From within outwards
In reverse order of appearance
From the most vital organs to the least vital (for example, from the lungs to the skin)
What to Expect When You Start a Homeopathic Remedy
Because homeopathy doesn’t suppress symptoms, it can do the opposite: it may bring things to the surface — physically and emotionally — as part of the healing process.
This means you might notice:
A return of old symptoms
Emotional shifts (tears, frustration, unexpected feelings)
Changes in sleep or vivid, symbolic dreams
Menstrual changes (e.g., altered cycles or cervical mucus)
Physical reactions like rashes, swollen glands, headaches, or tiredness
These experiences are not “side effects” in the conventional sense — they’re often signs that your remedy is working to clear suppressed layers of grief, trauma, inherited patterns, and/or unresolved health issues. We call this the Direction of Cure — your body’s way of moving toward deeper and more sustainable health.
It’s All Part of the Process
Healing can feel messy, but it’s also intelligent and meaningful. Your job is to notice, stay curious, and most importantly — keep in touch with your homeopath via follow up consultations. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
