FERTILITY PROGRAM
Support your fertility, naturally.
Are you ready to get pregnant but it’s not happening (yet)?
Maybe you've just begun trying to conceive, or you're years into the journey.
You may have had appointment after appointment, tests, treatments, or rounds of IUI or IVF.
Perhaps you've experienced loss, you're coming off the pill after years, or you simply want to prepare your body properly before you start.
Wherever you are, the wondering and the searching and the trying to make sense of it all is exhausting.
Around 1 in 6 couples now experience difficulty conceiving - so if any of this feels like you, you're far from alone. And you're in the right place.
A considered, whole-person natural fertility approach. For over a decade, I've worked alongside couples through every stage of the path to parenthood - preconception planning, the long road of trying to conceive, and support alongside assisted reproduction.
The Fertility Program is built on the Liz Lalor Fertility Protocol - developed by Australian homeopath Liz Lalor in 1999, and taught to and used by practitioners across Australia, the UK, Canada, Europe and the US.
I combine the Liz Lalor Fertility Protocol with naturopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle support, for a whole-person, clinically-informed approach to fertility - for both partners. Rather than looking at fertility in isolation, this program considers hormone balance, ovulatory health, sperm health and parameters, nutrient status and overall wellbeing together, because conception is rarely about just one thing.
The fertility program
Fertility is bigger than one number. Fertility is shaped by so much more than one thing - hormones, ovulation and cycle health, sperm health, nutrient status, stress, sleep, gut health and everyday exposures all play a part. That's exactly why a whole-person approach makes sense: we look at the full picture, not one number in isolation.
Real fertility care means looking at both partners, and all the pieces that shape the journey:
Female hormones - the reproductive hormones that shape your cycle, including oestrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH and prolactin
Male hormones - the hormones behind healthy sperm production, including testosterone, LH and FSH
Egg health - and why the months before conception are such a meaningful window
Sperm health - and the role of the two-to-three-month regeneration cycle
Cycle awareness - learning to read your fertile window and the signs that map your rhythm
IVF and assisted reproduction - support for your health and wellbeing alongside your medical treatment

FAQ
Q: Can I chat to Olivia before joining the fertility program - I have a few questions?
A: Absolutely - Olivia offers a free, no strings attached, discovery call - this means we can have a chat about where your health is at, your fertility journey and see if this program is right for you. You can book a free 30-minute Discovery call with Olivia here
Q: Why is the Fertility Program for four months?
A: The months before matter more than you think. Here's what most people are never told: the egg you release this month started maturing months ago. An egg takes three to four months to develop before ovulation. Sperm takes two to three months to regenerate.
That runway is everything. Egg health and sperm health are among the biggest factors in conception - natural or assisted - and those months beforehand are your window to prioritise your health, your nutrition, your wellbeing.
Which is exactly why this program runs over four months. We work with your body through the whole window - not scrambling at the last minute.
Why don't you recommend Elevit as a prenatal supplement?
A: Elevit is a popular over-the-counter prenatal, but we generally recommend a different formulation for a few specific reasons:
Elevit contains folic acid, the synthetic form of folate (Vitamin B9), which needs to undergo several conversion steps in the body before it can be used. We tend to prefer a supplement with activated folate, which some research suggests may be more readily used by the body — though this matters most for those with certain genetic variants affecting folate metabolism.
Elevit's iron is in the form of Ferrous Fumarate, one of the iron forms more commonly associated with gastrointestinal side effects like constipation. It also provides 60mg of iron daily — and research shows that iron doses at this level can trigger a temporary rise in hepcidin (a hormone that regulates iron absorption), which reduces how well a subsequent dose is absorbed. See the research here (PMID: 26289639).
Choline plays an important role in foetal brain development, and current intake recommendations suggest most pregnant women don't get enough of it from diet alone. Elevit doesn't contain choline. We prefer a prenatal that includes at least 100mg.
Quality and dose matter when it comes to prenatal supplementation - this is exactly the kind of detail we work through together in a consultation.\
Q: Can the Fertility Program help prevent miscarriage?
A: An estimated 1 in 5 to 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, and while that statistic is common, it never feels acceptable when it's happening to you. Miscarriage is genuinely devastating, and however it happened, it is not your fault.
We also want to be honest about what we can and can't promise. Miscarriage has many possible causes, and in a significant number of cases, no clear cause is ever found - which can be one of the hardest parts to sit with. That said, there are some factors worth investigating as part of a broader, personalised assessment, including thyroid function and progesterone levels, both of which have a reasonably well-established connection to pregnancy loss and are part of standard medical workups. Other areas, like MTHFR gene variants and elevated homocysteine, are actively being researched and may be relevant for some people.
What we can offer is a thorough, individualised look at your health picture alongside your medical care - not instead of it - so that anything genuinely worth addressing is identified and worked through together, whether you're trying to conceive naturally or supporting an IVF transfer.
Q: What if I need support during the Fertility Program?
A: The program includes monthly fertility consultations for the couple, plus weekly email support so any questions can be answered and you can keep momentum between sessions. You're never left to figure things out alone.
